Welcome Benjamin Jacob!!

After what seems like the world's longest pregnancy - he's finally here - the long awaited Baby Ben!! He was born on 11/6/08 at a rompin' stompin' 8lbs. 13oz. and 20 1/4 inches.  Full name (because you know it can't be short in this family:)  Benjamin Jacob Bienskie Jackson!!

 

They are all doing well, and according to my sister - "this really is the last one!!"

 

He really is such a honey, and looks more like a 1 month old rather than a 1 week old!!  His big sister and brother just love him, and so do his two cousins!

 

He's got really big feet, no wrinkles at all, and is already drinking 4 oz at each feeding!!

 

You all know that I like to give the nieces and nephews (yes that is a plural now!) nicknames.  Not really even just them, I rarely call my girls by their birth names - they have nicknames too!! 

 

 

 

So a couple of days before he was born, I started thinking about a name for Ben.  I decided that I needed to meet him first.  So when we heard how big he was, I thought that maybe "Moose" would be a good name for him (also, Mike Mussina - aka "Moose", and my favorite pitcher, just won the AL Gold Glove, so I thought it would be appropriate).

 

But then I was watching the Steelers football game on Sunday, it suddenly struck me just how big Ben Roleisberger (sp?) really is.  Then it came to me - Big Ben!!  It really does fit.  I have a feeling that this kid is going to be big - just like his brother Bubba!!

 

So anyway - a big huge congratulations to Jen, Keith, Froot Loop, Bubba and Big Ben.  Or as they were introduced to the family way back at Easter - The Jackson Five!!
